The rear roller block consists of two rollers supporting the rear wheel: one free and one equipped with a hydraulic braking system, and integrating a self-powered Bluetooth module.
The Till Start Power Connect rear unit is equipped with a micro-generator that allows it to produce its own electrical energy, so it doesn’t require any wiring. Simply rotate it to operate. It can therefore be used indoors or outdoors without any restrictions.
Thanks to its Bluetooth connection, the Till Start Connect is visible to all other devices, such as a speed sensor or a power sensor. The Till Start Connect integrates the speed/power characteristics of the roller’s “Power” rating. The transmitted power is therefore calculated taking into account the characteristics of the braking system. The power measurement can be calibrated via the “Till Start Connect” app.
This allows you to connect to all training tracking and race simulation applications.
The Till Start crystal lights up and indicates the connection status.
Because power is transmitted between the bike and the Till Start via tire grip on the roller, there may be some measurement uncertainty. The conditions and bikes used can also affect the accuracy of the power measurement.
The rear roller block is equipped with a braking system whose resistance varies according to the rotation speed. You can therefore choose the power zone in which you wish to work via your gear selection; the Till Start Power adapts instantly.
The braking system is completely self-contained; no control cables or electrical connections are required to operate the system.
